Week 35 - Typography Unit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Can I get your help? My son wrote an essay for a $10,000 scholarship. 1st round requires votes and top 10 ten with most votes move to 2nd round where judges read n score essays. Can you please pass the link on if you can? It would be great if you could have your students vote as a bell ringer. If students vote however, they would need to use a different device for each vote to count. Meaning one vote per computer, so cell phone voting would be most effective. Otherwise, once one per votes on a computer other periods will be invalid.Click on link to vote:

  • A spot color is a special premixed ink that is used instead of, or in addition to, process inks, and that requires its own printing plate on a printing press. We use spot colors for our silk screen press.
  • A process color is printed using a combination of the four standard process inks: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK).
  • By default, Illustrator process-color swatches are “non-global swatches”. This means that you can color objects with those swatches, but if you later change the swatch color, the objects do not change color. In other words, the swatch is used to initially color the object, but that’s it. There is no connection between the object and the swatch once the object is colored with the swatch.
However, you can make any swatch “global” by choosing this in Swatch Options. When you apply a global swatch to an object, it is “assigned” to that object forever, so if you change the color of the global swatch later, the color of the object updates.

  • We will create an Illustrator document with rectangles of spot, global and process colors.
